Kate Middleton just lost out on major accolade and it will definitely shock royal fans

The Princess of Wales has unexpectedly missed out on a significant award that many fans believed she would certainly win - and another Royal has taken her place.

It's well-known that when it comes to fashion, Kate Middleton is an expert and is considered a style icon within the Royal Family.

As the wife of Prince William, she is globally recognized for her elegant and timeless style, showcasing a wardrobe that includes everything from vibrant designer suits to floral dresses.

In fact, Kate's impeccable fashion sense has captivated so many that she had to cease sharing details of her outfits during certain public appearances to maintain the focus on her charitable endeavors.

In February, a source from Kensington Palace revealed to The Sunday Times that details of Kate's clothing choices will not be disclosed for the foreseeable future.

They stated: "There is a strong sentiment that it is not about what the princess is wearing. She wants the focus to be on the truly important issues, the people, and the causes she is highlighting."

With all this in mind, the news that Kate has not received a recent fashion-related accolade is sure to leave royal fans in disbelief.

The award in question concerns the unveiling of the top ten names in Tatler's annual Best Dressed in Britain List - a ranking of trendsetters and fashion leaders in the UK.

According to the publication, to be included in this prestigious list, 'one must exude timeless elegance and a certain modern je ne sais quoi'.

The complete list, featuring 25 names in total, will be published on 9 August in the magazine's September issue.

Currently, fashion enthusiasts have been given a preview of the first 10 names, and surprisingly, the Princess of Wales is not among them.

Kate topped the list in 2022, while Meghan Markle was number one in 2018, yet neither have made the cut this year.

However, one Royal who has made the list is Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara Tindall, claiming the seventh spot.
