Spice Girls' Geri Halliwell-Horner shares surprising reason why she always wears white

Has anyone seen Geri Halliwell-Horner lately?

And was she, perhaps, dressed in white?

Chances are she was - indeed, white is the only color the Spice Girls singer has been seen wearing in public for about the past six years.

I assure you, we're not exaggerating. Just do a quick Google Images search and check for yourself.

What's even more fascinating is that the 52-year-old's apparent preference for the bright, light color is entirely intentional.

In a conversation with Jessie and Lennie Ware on their popular Table Manners podcast this week, 'Ginger Spice' - as she was known during her girlband era - explained what inspired this unique fashion choice.

For those needing a refresher, after catapulting to international fame in the 90s with her hit music group alongside Melanie C, Mel B, Emma Bunton, and Victoria Beckham, she was often seen in red, blue, and white.

In fact, a Union Jack dress became Geri's iconic look, paired with her fiery red hair.

The mother-of-two explained her decision to simplify her wardrobe: "In my 20s, I went through a phase where I wore black constantly. But I've explored various theories."

Geri mentioned that one theory was inspired by the concept of wearing a professional uniform.

"I noticed many men always wear the same thing," the 'Wannabe' singer elaborated.

"Whether it's Steve Jobs, the Facebook guy [Mark Zuckerberg], they all have a uniform-like style."

She further suggested that her choice to stick with one color is also a time-saving strategy.

"I thought, actually, how much time do you spend getting ready?" Geri added.

"That was one factor, and everything coordinates. It simplifies things."

Also on the beloved podcast, the Hertfordshire-born star shared insights into her life away from the limelight, reflecting on the Mother's Day activities she enjoyed with her children over the weekend.

Geri is a mother to two children. She shares her daughter Bluebell Madonna, born in 2006, with her ex-partner, screenwriter Sacha Gervasi, and her son Montague George Hector, born in 2017, with British motorsport executive Christian Horner.

The musician is also a stepmother to Horner's daughter Olivia - born in 2013 - from his previous marriage to Beverley Allen.

Reflecting on her Mother's Day (30 Mar) weekend, she told podcast listeners this week: "Bluebell really enjoys cooking.

"She cooked dinner for us last night. She made Chinese chicken. She's willing to try anything.

"She made me steak for Valentine's Day recently. Instead of going out, she cooked for my husband and me.

"That’s a mother's pride, isn't it?"
