A close friend of Charlie Kirk, present on the day of his assassination, has disclosed the events of his final moments.
The 31-year-old right-wing influencer was fatally shot with a single bullet while addressing a university gathering in Utah on September 10, as horrified onlookers witnessed the tragedy. Authorities announced two days later the arrest of 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who now faces seven charges, including aggravated murder.
Now, Christian author and close friend Frank Turek, 63, has recounted the heart-wrenching journey to the hospital, as medics fought to save Kirk's life.
During a recent episode of his Cross Examined podcast, Turek shared that Kirk's pulse reportedly returned briefly before he was pronounced dead.

He described how five people, including himself and Kirk's security team, were packed into an SUV racing to the nearest hospital while trying to stop the bleeding from Kirk's neck.
Despite all efforts to save him, Turek noted that his friend had already passed by the time they reached the hospital.
He stated: "Charlie was no longer with us. His eyes were fixed, gazing beyond me, into eternity. He was already with Jesus."

Turek added: "There was nothing more we could do. We performed CPR, but to no avail.
"It wasn't a matter of better first aid, superior medical facilities, or a faster trip to the hospital, that could have saved him. We couldn't."
He continued: "If there's any solace, it's that Charlie didn't suffer. He had left us, and was with Jesus."
Nevertheless, upon arrival at the hospital, Turek claims the doctors managed to briefly revive a pulse.

"They got a pulse back, and we prayed for a miracle," he said. "The doctor mentioned, 'We revived a pulse because Charlie was a very healthy man. But the gunshot was catastrophic.'"
According to Turek, the surgeon later confirmed Kirk's passing about 20 to 30 minutes after his arrival.
Kirk's widow, Erika, also reflected on the tragic day, addressing tens of thousands of Americans during his memorial service at the State Farm Stadium on Sunday, September 21.

The mother of two shared: "On the afternoon of September 10th, I arrived at a Utah hospital to face the unimaginable. To see my husband’s lifeless body."
She added: "I saw the wound that took his life. I felt shock, horror, and a depth of sorrow I hadn't known before.
"Yet, there was something else. Even in death, I could see the man I love. I noticed the one grey hair on the side of his head, which I never mentioned to him - now he knows."
She continued: "I also noticed a faint smile on his lips, revealing to me a profound mercy from God amid this tragedy.

"Seeing that assured me Charlie didn’t suffer. Even the doctor confirmed it. It happened so swiftly that even if he had been in the operating room, nothing could have altered the outcome.
"There was no pain, no fear, no agony. One moment, Charlie was passionately engaging in debate, advocating for the gospel and truth before a large audience, and the next, he was in paradise with his savior."
