The documentary traces his childhood in Malibu, his rise to fame and wealth, followed by a very public fall from grace due to his breakdown and severe drug issues.
It's unexpectedly candid, leaving fans astonished at some of the confessions made by Sheen and those close to him, including the revelation of how he lost his virginity at just 15 years old.
Surprisingly, Sheen's first sexual experience was with a sex worker he hired in Las Vegas as a teenager.

Even more shockingly, he used his father Martin Sheen's credit card to pay for it.
Yes, that's correct.
Stunned fans have taken to Reddit with questions about what they've just learned.
"I'm curious about Charlie's childhood. He mentioned losing his virginity to a sex worker in Vegas at 15, charging it to his dad's card without him knowing," they wrote. "That implies a much more carefree upbringing than what we've been shown, yet the interviewer didn't probe further."
They added: "Who was with him in Vegas? How did he hire the sex worker - did he find her in a phone book or did someone else suggest hiring a sex worker?"
The user also questioned: "Was it normal for Charlie to make large charges on his father's card?"

Another person suggested: "He was probably spoiled, and maybe his parents weren't as present as they should have been. My parents always knew my whereabouts."
However, one viewer argued this was 'normal' for the era: "My friends and I joke about how we raised ourselves. Nobody knew where we were, there were no cell phones, just curfews.
"There was plenty of opportunity to get into trouble if you wanted to. I was mostly too afraid of getting into trouble to break the rules, but I certainly knew people who did."

Another viewer felt that despite the revelations, the documentary missed many details.
"People generally try to escape something. We get glimpses, like his parents being nude in front of him, exposure to violence through acting, losing his virginity young and to a sex worker. There are numerous red flags," they commented.

In the documentary, Sheen recalls a time when his parents embraced nudism.
"Maybe for a month, or five, I’m not sure. I was five, walking into the kitchen, and there they were, naked," he says.
